The NAPE Young Professionals (YP) are thrilled to introduce the NAPE YP EnergyTech Pitch-A-Ton Competition, a groundbreaking initiative designed to inspire innovation and promote awareness in the energy sector. This inaugural idea competition is focused on discovering and empowering emerging leaders who are passionate about advancing the energy transition in Nigeria.
By fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship among young professionals, the competition aims to accelerate the development of transformative ideas and ventures that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Join us in shaping the future of Nigeria’s energy landscape!

Eligibility criteria and Guidelines

Applicants must be Young Professionals residing in Nigeria, aged between 23 and 40 years old
-
Submissions are open to both Individuals or Teams {At least Two Members}
-
Teams may consist of members with diverse backgrounds, interdisciplinary, expertise, promoting cross-disciplinary collaboration and innovation.

Gender Equity and Balance are strongly encouraged.

The proposed solution must be centered around digital technology, whether software, hardware, or both, and aimed at addressing key challenges in the energy industry

Solutions can be at the idea stage, prototype level, MVP, or even launched but not yet commercially scaled.

Participants must be available to engage in a One – day Pitch Competition.

Interested participants must complete the application form.

Submissions must include a Pitch Deck outlining the proposed idea, problem statement, innovation potential, expected impact, and commercial viability

The individual or the team should be able to cover their travel, and logistics to Lagos for Pitch Competition.

This track focuses on startups transforming how energy is produced, transported, and consumed through smarter, more efficient systems.

ENERGY SECURITY
Renewable energy systems to smart grid innovations and storage solutions, this track seeks ideas that strengthen the stability, sustainability of global and regional energy networks.

GREEN ENERGY SOLUTIONS
Bring forward renewable energy projects in solar, wind, hydroelectric, biomass, geothermal, or nuclear energy to support sustainable development.

OIL AND GAS SOLUTIONS
Introduce advanced technologies and methodologies for more efficient extraction, processing, and distribution of oil and gas resources.

SUSTAINABLE ENERGY INNOVATIONS
Present cutting-edge technologies that promote sustainability in oil, gas, and energy sectors, ensuring the long-term viability of the industry in Nigeria.

1. Uniqueness and creativity of the proposed idea
2. Relevance to the energy sector and alignment with Sustainable Development Goals
3. Feasibility and potential for implementation.
4. Commercial viability and scalability.
REWARDS
1. The Top 6 Shortlisted Entries will have the opportunity to present their projects at the NAPE YP EnergyTech Pitch – a Ton Competition.
2. Three Finalists will be selected during the competition, receiving substantial support to further develop their Ideas and Ventures.
3. Participants will gain exposure to industry professionals, potential investors, and Mentors within the Energy Sector
